Nikita was elated at my appearance.  I waited until he sat, and opened the door. Yay!  We walked down for a quick pee, but nothing yet.  He wanted to start digging!  So, I picked him up and checked in about going down stairs.  Still not up for two steps to the ground.  He ran all the way up the stairs and laid down!

Nikita was a ping pong ball for pets today, and he loved it!  He waggled immensely!  At one point, we did take a break.  He was getting so excited he didn't know which way to run.  So, we took some slow walk and carrying time.

Other than those gals, today Nikita met 4 old women, 1 old man, 1 middle-aged man with a friendly husky, 3 middle aged women, a couple garbage bins on wheels, some water spouts, and a little girl less than one.  She wasn't too sure about his energy, but was still good curious.

We had lots of fun!  He also stayed super elated in his crate for the promise hunt of treats. I left him with a scavenge party in his crate.

How fun to see the pups again.  They are so emotive, intelligent, and such good players.  They play hard, but take lots of breaks and read each other's signals.  When one starts to get too crazy or amped, they break off play.  And then usually the other one will lead and re-instigate the play.  It's also great that they respond to their names so well.  That way I can help them take breaks if need be.

This pic is too amazing! *Boing! Rusty says, 'Just kidding! Can't get me! Those jaws are fierce! What a snarl!'  And Grete says, 'Yes! And my tongue means I'm just playing.' HAH!  All in a few seconds!

Here was a good break they took to roll in the grass!  They love the new yard.  And with good cause!  I almost joined them.

What a total blast. :D

It was great to see Yogi & Matzi again! They both calmly greeted me and we all went downstairs for lunch.

After mealtime, it's really cute how Matzi runs over to the TV where the feather toys are and starts "talking" & letting me know he’s ready to play.  It's fun to listen to them "talk"--they sort of do a little “trilling” thing instead of meowing. So sweet!

We enjoyed playing with the orange feather toy today.

 

Mazi would climb onto the dog's pillow and then roll onto his back and wait for the feather to come his way.  He is kind of a lazy hunter. :)

And sweet Yogi played for a bit and then took his spot on the couch to observe the goings-on.

Yogi has such beautiful eyes!  And what an affectionate little sweetheart he is.

Both kitties are eating well - and are such a joy to be around!  They have such wonderful, funny personalities!

Barney!  How nice to see you! 

He was still pretty inclined, but did get the memo when I removed any interaction with him and exploded with 'yays!' when he was politely walking next to me.

We used tug to get out some of the crazies and practiced only grabbing it when I said 'take it!'.  It was good work for him.  He started to understand that just because I said 'ok' or 'ready?' didn't mean it was time to chomp it.  If he did, toy went away! 

And it was a great way to reward nice walking!  He is so playful with that thing!

She had a contagious zest for smells.  Quite the great walk!

 

Then she helped me water the plants.  I was quite impressed by her ability to play with that sliver of ball.  The toss to me was perfectly inviting and her whole acrobatics and 'kill' technique afterwards were fascinatingly great to watch!  It made it all so much fun.  (She totally caught that 'ball', too!)
