I let Mattie lead the way today, and she decided
she wanted to go sniff-browsing at Petapolouza. I didn't even know that store
was there - apparently she remembered! We talked to the owner for a couple of
minutes and got a treat, she jumped up on him. It was understandable though, he
didn't know what he was doing and made some very exciting hand motions with
treats that made Mattie want to get in his business! Bad pet store owner, he of
all people should know better! I didn't correct him though, I let him go on
making a fool of himself, bad dog walker!! All was well, he was friendly and
said that he had met her already. We then went on our way back through the
neighborhoods. She had plenty of sniff time in grassy areas, but did not relieve
herself. When we got back to the house, I let her in the backyard just to give
her a last chance, but no deal!

Mattie was pretty excited to see me, but not
totally surprised - you must have told her I was coming? I like her martingale
collar, she does pull a little more than the pinch, but it just looks better
when she approaches people, which she tends to do! We met a guy today (working
on his car), and I said, "she is very social", and he said "that is what I have
heard" (?). He must have met her before. She was a good girl today, of
course.
